Recently, China Petroleum's first fully domestically produced 40 megapascal high-pressure and large displacement centrifugal gas injection compressor has officially landed in China's first deep and in-service condensate gas storage facility - the Yaha gas storage facility in the Tarim Oilfield of China Petroleum.

At present, the unit is being installed and debugged, and will be officially put into use in October. The deployment of this core equipment marks the first time that China has achieved 100% localization of complete sets of equipment in the field of gas storage, breaking the foreign technological monopoly and providing new technical support for ensuring national energy security.

It is reported that this independently developed high-pressure centrifugal compressor unit can process 5.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, with a gas injection pressure of up to 40 megapascals and a motor power of 23 megawatts, which will greatly improve the gas injection efficiency of the storage facility.

After rigorous testing, this domestically first centrifugal compressor unit with a pressure rating of 40 megapascals for gas storage has reached the international advanced level in terms of mechanical operation and performance testing, filling the domestic gap.
